Halft Term Break

So, us lazy teachers have another week off! We've successfully used the first half of it to do lots of shopping (yawn), look at baby clothes and bedroom furniture (more yawns) and visit IKEA to get angry - a question to the masses: Does everyone get angry at IKEA or is it just me? Is it only in england that the stores are packed with stupid people that park their trolleys in the middle of isles, walk really slowly, and bring hords of screaming infants???

Ok, deep breath, rant over (during the holiday it's difficult to find students to yell at to release tension, without creating a stir in the street!!!).

Our shopping this week to date:
1. A cat tree - we must own two of the most pampered cats in the world. Look at these two softies!

2. Sacks full of maternity clothes - why do the prices increase exponentially when the words "baby" or "maternity" appear on the label?
3. IKEA furniture - another successful evening spent swearing at allen keys and the discussing the evils of flat packs!

I plan to spend the rest of the week in intensive preparation for the world cup (for the strange people who don't follow the beautiful game (women and canadians o:) this strarts on June 9th) by increasing the amount of sports I watch each day. As the French Open is on at the moment there are a wealth of opportunities to implement my plan - Tara doesn't seem to be that impressed with my idea - but I'm confidant that I can school her in wonderful world of sports.

Ok, time to go. I'm sure that someone will be playing somebody in some sport somewhere on the telly and I don't want to miss it!

Stephen
