I think I felt the baby move a few days ago! I was lying quietly on the sofa when there was a strange sort of fluttery feeling in my stomach... It was really cool and I have been trying very hard in vain ever since to feel it again!
Today I went to the midwife for a check up. She had me lie on a bed and felt my tummy. My uterus is now up near my belly button (5 weeks ago it was down by my pubic bone and now it is about 20 cm up from there!) and she put a little microphone with jelly on it onto it. The baby's heart beat was strong and we found it immediately but then it got active and started jumping around. The microphone picked up all the kicks which was cool and the placenta or cord muffled the heartbeat a few times. I rang Stephen as soon as I got out and he was really excited too.

perhaps we need an audio of the heartbeat to go with the visual from the scan
