So, Tara is now in her mid-twenties, or so she tells me! We had friends over and I cooked "a meal fit for the queen!"
There has been a TV program on the BBC recently called "the great british menu" where all the best chefs in the country compete for the right to cook the queen's 80th birthday diner. The winning menu and its recipes were all on the website - so we dined on smoked salmon, seabass and oxtail, roast venison and egg custard tart. Well received by all! Other aspiring chefs can check out www.bbc.co.uk/food for recipes and ideas.
Tara's "bump" is now becoming more pronounced and she tells me regularly now that she can fell the baby moving around - though no visible evidence yet!
I'm going on a course in Oxford for school next week. We run the IB diploma for our Y12 and Y13 students and I have to go to learn how to teach physics properly! I have a feeling that more time may be spent investigating all the nice pubs and learning how to punt whilst drinking Pimms than will be spent in the classroom!!!
